What's Happening

On September 20, Watershed students and faculty will board a bus to New York City to participate in the People's Climate March.  With world leaders gathering at the United Nations the following week, Watershed will join thousands of others in sending a strong message of support for greater efforts to address climate change.

Watershed School Returns from Adventure in Canada Watershed School students returned this week from their annual trip to Quebec, Canada. Students and faculty traveled to the French-speaking province in order to attend Winter Carnival. The school has attended the event for over ten years and the trip has become a favorite part of the academic calendar. Watershed places emphasis on its students and faculty as members of a community and sees travel as an opportunity to learn from one another...

"Don't just play on your smartphone, program it!" President Obama Late last year, during Code.org's worldwide effort to get as many students to program a computer, Watershed freshmen and sophomores spent an hour learning to code through the "Hour of Code" program. Joining more than 20 million students from around the world, the 12 students learned the fundamentals of logic, program flow, and looping using visual programming tools to make a rudimentary video game....
When the day comes to a close on Mondays and Tuesdays, Watershed school in Camden becomes a busy hive of activity. Students buzz about like bees, making window inserts to install in the homes of two elderly women in Rockland. Of course, a whole lot more goes on in the hive to ensure that the window inserts are made in the smoothest and most productive manner possible.
