Rushad Eggleston is a revolutionary musician, composer, poet-philosopher, and entertainer. Classically-trained, and with an intimate knowledge of jazz and bluegrass, his infectious rhythms and genre-bending performances captivate and inspire audiences of all ages.

Having won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, he was the only student ever nominated for a Grammy award while still enrolled.

In addition to having performed on movie soundtracks, TV commercials, and hundreds of studio recordings, Rushad was a founding member of the popular alt-bluegrass band Crooked Still.

He has performed in 48 states and 13 countries, and taught hundreds of young students worldwide how to let loose their musical imaginations and rock on the cello.

A native of California and current resident of the Bay Area, Rushad taught cello at Maine Fiddle Camp in Montville for many years. Because of his connection with Maine, he generously agreed to fly east and donate his performance to raise scholarship money for the Watershed School.
