Professional Interests:

Tom Weis is a designer, builder and founding member of See Why Studios. Following ten years of professional work as a wooden boat builder, cabinet maker and a practicing artist, Tom accepted a nomination for a President’s Scholarship and returned to graduate School to receive a Masters degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Recently he worked as a senior designer on a project which was featured in the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museums 2010 Triennial, and was chosen as one of Time magazines top 50 inventions of 2010. His work ranges from medical products to furniture.
